Adobe Live Streams

Speed up your editing with AI in Premiere Pro

I was lucky enough to be invited to Adobe MAX London 2024, and while I was there I ran a 30-minute live session with Michael Fugoso.

In this session we focussed on the brand new editing features inside the Beta release of Premiere Pro, including working with some of the AI editing capabilities (not generative AI, that hadn’t been released yet!).

Here we looked at the new enhance speech feature, the remix tool, editing your video via the automatically generated transcript and more!

Shortcuts, Actions, and Efficiency in Adobe Illustrator

My first live stream on-site at the Adobe offices in Sydney!

For this two-parter, I flew down from the Gold Coast for a two-day trip to meet up with Flyn Tracey and Chris Hansen where we hosted this session on how to speed up your workflow in Adobe Illustrator.

This session lifted a module or two from my course and talks you through how to set up your keyboard shortcuts and actions, to use with a macropad to go faster in Adobe Illustrator. In the second part, I used these technique to bring a logo to life from a sketch in about half an hour!

OFFSET with Ryan Selvy

When Adobe shuts down for a week over the summer break, Ryan Selvy takes over the Adobe Live platform and interviews guests in the graphic design arena.

Unfortunately, the only time slot he could offer me for my interview was 3am, Australia time! So you’re getting the tired, sleep-deprived version of me in this video.

Apparently there’s nothing I won’t do for a good bit of self-promotion!

In this interview we go over some of my projects from sketch to final design, talk about my process and I run through a couple of quick tips in Adobe Illustrator.

Edit a Viral TikTok/Reel

In a behind-the-scenes look at creating a TikTok video in Premiere, the video I edited on camera was posted to my socials right after the first session and hit 100,000+ views in 24 hours. Between TikTok and Instagram, it’s now sitting at 1M+ views.

If there ever was a case study on how to create a viral video, this is it.

From Pencil Sketch to Vector

I came across the slogan ‘Exercise to Exorcise’ while reading Austin Kleon’s Steal Like an Artist trilogy, and fell in love with it. Using exercise to exorcise demons; getting outdoors to improve your mental health.

I loved it so much I turned it into a fake gym brand this Adobe Live session.

Digital Branding

In this, my first ever live stream with Adobe, I used the slogan from Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, “Bring me that horizon” and turned it into a design that would work as a badge and on a t-shirt .
