Michael Reid is an executive chef, author, restaurant consultant and opening specialist. We worked together closely on the M Restaurants project and you might have spotted him on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch in late 2016, cooking up a seriously mouthwatering steak.

Mike approached me to create his new brand identity, to coincide with the launch of his new website. The logo needed to represent innovation and creation, but ultimately play on the initials of the chef. In this approach, the two letters ‘M’ and ‘R’ are combined to form a stylistic shape, where the top of the ‘M’ is a handle, and the tail of the ‘R’ is the blade of steak knife.
