Panthea

THE BRIEF
Panthea provides futures programs and workshops for young people from Middle East and Asia. Their mission is to radically alter the way young people think and act at work. The company offers a series of courses, either virtually, or as a 1-week program in London, with the aim to instil behaviours, abilities, and responsibilities into young people, producing pioneers and leaders in their field.

Panthea’s founder Maryam Saif came to me with a vision for her new company logo. She was looking for an extremely premium, minimilist, professional solution, with a nod to Ikigai, a Japanese concept referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living.

THE SOLUTION
The Panthea logo mark takes its inspiration from the most-recognised representation of Ikigai; the venn diagram that contains the four pillars of passion, mission, profession and vocation. The logo takes a single petal shape from a cherry blossom (synonymous with the Japanese/Ikigai aesthetic) and reworks it to replace the circle in the traditional Ikigai venn diagram pattern.

Inside the centre of the design is a depiction the North Star. Early explorers used stars to navigate. They were pioneers in every sense of the word, and the central star in the logo mark represents the pioneering nature of the youth entering into the programs that Panthea has to offer.

TESTIMONIAL
"Working with James was an inspiring and captivating experience as not only had I learned so much about design, brand, concept, rationale, colours, fonts, I also learned about patience and perfection. I am so happy with my company logo and brand and believe that with the vision of James and I, together, the brand will become a journey and for that, I am grateful." - Maryam Saif, Founder
