FLOW STATE RECORDS
THE BRIEF
Tom Moore, a lo-fi/hip-hop music artist from London going by the moniker Thomas Tempest approached me to create a brand identity and website for his burgeoning record label Flow State.
Tom was looking for a timeless style that matched his music; chilled, nostalgic and unpolished.
THE SOLUTION
I designed an abstract representation of a vinyl, combined with a soothing sunset reflected over a body of water.
With the exception of the ‘hole’ in the vinyl, the design uses one unbroken, continuous line to represent the ‘flow’ in Flow State. Combined with a subtle colour scheme that has connotations with the sunset (a suitably relaxing time of the day), this design has a nostalgic and analogue feel which is versatile enough to be used across so many different design applications.
